Main interface and terminal definition
1.Module terminals: A+ for the positive incoming and outgoing terminals of the DP slave communication, B- for the negative incoming and outgoing terminals of the DP slave communication, "*" indicates that there is no actual physical connection on this channel.
2.Indicator light: COM Indicator light means that communication data is being exchanged between SC1401 and DP master, off means that DP is not exchanging communication data, RUN is used to display the module operation.
3.DP Dipswitch: An 8-bit dipswitch is used to set the address of the DP slave.
DP slave wiring and address setting
1.PROFIBUS-DP communication wiring: SC1401 is connected to the master via terminals A+ and B-.
2.The 8-digit DIP switch is used to set the DP slave addresses. The switch state of each dial code refers to a different binary value (ON means 1, OFF means 0), the 8-digit binary number consisting of 1~8 digits of dial code corresponds to the decimal value which is the DP slave address of SC1401.The address settings are shown in the figure below.
Note: The factory default setting of the dip switches are all set to "OFF" state, that is, all are "0".
